SAN VITO AL TAGLIAMENTO (PN)
This lovely little town is still surrounded by its ancient walls dating back to the Middle Ages, with the three towers perfectly preserved. When you walk through the old town, you feel like you are cosily protected and at home. Places to visit: the Archaeological Museum at Torre Raimonda, Palazzo Rota housing the town hall, with its fine courtyard, and the fine Piazza del Popolo. You cannot miss also the little church of Santa Maria dei Battuti and the Duomo with its paintings by Pomponio Amalteo, a pupil of Il Pordenone.
